Mine is one of the most fortunate families to have the honor of owning a pit bull. Shyanne is the love of my life, next to my children of course. I balked at getting her 3 years ago, as we already had a pomeranian and a black lab mix in the house and was not ready for another member of the family. Especially one so who would grow to be so large and full of energy. Well, my husband had different ideas on that subject. He told me that I had better decide on which one I wanted out of the liter that his best friends dog had just delivered. Each member of our family, 4 of us total, went over and picked out a pup. Neither one of us discussed our decision with the other until the day we went to go pick up our new baby. Low and behold, we had all picked the same pup, not even knowing who the other had chosen. To me, that was it!!! That is all I needed to hear to know that Shyanne Marie was made for our family. Not only does she bring love, compassion and joy to our lives, but she gives me a reason to keep going some days. Her love is totally unconditional. She adores her big brother, Dart Cloud, our black lab mix. They both sleep in the bed with my husband and myself. Which, I might add, gets a bit uncomfortable with 110 pounds of dog sleeping on top of you. She has no clue that she weighs 70 pounds and is NOT a lap dog! She follows me everywhere in the house. Is always laying next to me and she absolutely has to touch some part of her body to mine. She loves everyone who visits and will generally leave bruises on our bodies with her wagging tail. She is a joy to have as a member of our family. The fact that we all chose her and was not aware of that fact is enough for me to know that she was meant for us and we are meant for her.
