Fenway

Spunky, goofy, and super energetic! All black with white belly, paws and face. Black spot on one eye. Super friendly, but could accidentally injure you with his waggy tail! from Boston, MA

My family and I were searching online for the perfect friend to love and adopt, and we came across the Pittie Love Rescue Organization. We browsed through several stories, and selected a dog to meet. Upon the day of the meeting, we receieved a call that our prospective pet had been adopted, but we were introduced to this wrinkly, wiggly puppy covered in mange, and it was love at first sight!

We live in Boston, so being true Red Sox fans, we named him Fenway after the famed Fenway Park. We brought him home and showered him with tons of love. He needed mange medicine every day for a few months, as well as some antibiotics. It was so sad to see this poor baby so miserable, but we were determined to get him better.

He eventually grew stronger.. and bigger! He's now 65lbs and only 9 months old! He knows "stay", "sit", "hi-five", and "belly" which is his favorite. He will climb on your lap, put both paws on your shoulders, and just lick your face until it's raw. He loves to play fetch, as well as chew sneakers. He has an older human "sister" that he loves to chase around the yard and through the house. We take him to the pond, to the store, to dog parks, and even to Maine on vacation. He makes every trip more fun!

Since owning a Pit Bull, we've changed the minds of a lot of people in Boston. Our city unfortunately has Breed Specific Laws, which haven't deterred us. People around here have the typical negative view on Pits, until they see how friendly and well-behaved he is. We've been educating people everywhere we go, and it's so great to see the fear turn to love for this wonderful breed.

Hopefully in the future we can adopt a friend for Fenway, but for now we love having him as the center of attention. His goofy antics make everyone laugh and he has made our lives 100% richer.
