Dean Russo, a pop artist whose colorful, stylized portraits of pit bulls and other dogs help to raise awareness for these animals.

“Pit Bulls are close to my heart for the obvious reason of being the most misunderstood breed in the dog universe,” says artist Dean Russo. “They may just be one of the smartest too.”

Our most recent video contest first place winner Jessica Funderburk caught our eye even before the final results were in.

She is a wife, mother, life long animal lover, and photographer extraordinaire living in Louisiana. She shares her home with an array of furry friends including four dogs, two of them pit bulls.

Tim Racer, an artist and pit bull advocate, expresses his love for dogs in two ways.

He's a cofounder of BAD RAP, a California based pit bull education and rescue organization, and he also carves carousel style portraits of dogs in the old world tradition using basswood and wooden dowels - no nails are found in Tim's creations!

Animal Farm Foundation has established an Assistance Dog Training program where “pit bull” dogs in animal shelters and rescues can be considered for the same work traditionally reserved for pure bred, purpose bred dogs.

Animal Farm Foundation has been a pioneer in changing the hearts and minds of people when it comes to pit bulls. Located in New York state, Animal Farm Foundation is dedicated to securing equal treatment and opportunity for "pit bull" dogs.

We have a special holiday feature story for you! Azula is a very special girl who has a lot to be grateful for as she beat the odds and found a lot more than a comfy couch to snooze on! She is the November dog in the 2012 Calendar.

Azula was found off of the streets of San Diego, California. She was seriously injured at the time and no one thought that she would pull through.
